Procedure 1 Place the palm rest at the edge of the table with the speakers facing away from the edge. 2 Align the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly with the screw holes on the display hinges. 3 Replace the screws that secure the display hinges to the palm-rest assembly. 4 Route the antenna cables through its routing guides on the palm-rest assembly. 5 Route the display cable through its routing guides on the palm-rest assembly. Post-requisites 1 Replace the system board. 2 Replace the I/O board. 3 Replace the heat-sink assembly. 4 Replace the computer base. 5 Replace the keyboard. 6 Replace the wireless card. 7 Follow the procedure from step 5 to step 7 in "Replacing the hard drive". 8 Replace the memory modules. 78

Procedure

Place the palm rest at the edge of the table with the speakers facing away
from the edge.

Align the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly with the screw holes on
the display hinges.

Replace the screws that secure the display hinges to the palm-rest
assembly.

Route the antenna cables through its routing guides on the palm-rest
assembly.
