Replacing the drive cage WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in Before working inside your computer. Procedure 1 Replace the optical drive, if applicable. 2 Replace the 2.5-inch hard drive, if installed. 3 Slide and place the 3.5 inch hard-drive assembly into the drive cage, if installed. 4 Align the tab on the drive cage to the slot on the chassis. 5 Slide the drive cage into the chassis. 6 Replace the screws that secure the drive cage to the chassis. 7 Connect the power cables and data cables to all the drives. NOTE: The number and type of drives varies depending on the configuration you ordered. Post-requisites 1 Replace the front bezel. 2 Replace the computer cover. 48
