3 Turn the computer right-side up, and then open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it rests on your work surface. NOTICE: To avoid damaging the hinge cover, do not lift the cover on both sides simultaneously. 4 Insert a scribe in the indent to lift the hinge cover on the right side. 1 2 1 hinge cover 2 indent 5 Ease the hinge cover up, moving from right to left, and remove it. 6 To replace the hinge cover, insert the left edge of the cover into place. 7 Press from left to right until the cover snaps into place. 8 Close the display and turn the computer upside-down. 9 Replace the battery.
