5 Upgrading the BIOS using USB drive through the BIOS boot menu To upgrade the BIOS using USB drive through the BIOS boot menu, do the following: 1 Copy the downloaded executable file to a USB drive. 2 Plug-in the USB drive into any USB port. 3 Turn on the system. 4 On the Dell logo screen, press key to access the boot menu. 5 In Other Options select BIOS Flash Update. 6 Browse to the folder to locate the downloaded executable file and click Ok. 7 Verify the existing system BIOS information and the BIOS update information. 8 Click Begin Flash Update. 9 After you review the warning message, click Yes to continue. To upgrade the BIOS using USB drive through the BIOS boot menu, do the following:

Copy the downloaded executable
file
to a USB drive.

Plug–in the USB drive into any USB port.

Turn on the system.

On the Dell logo screen, press <F12> key to access the boot menu.

Other Options
select
BIOS Flash Update
.

Browse to the folder to locate the downloaded executable
file
and click
Ok
.

Verify the existing system BIOS information and the BIOS update information.

Click
Begin Flash Update.

After you review the warning message, click
Yes
to continue.
