9 Troubleshooting Keyboard customization issues To customize the keyboard language that is not supported by default, do the following: 1. Go to C:\Windows\system32\oobe. 2. Delete the oobe.xml file and the related subdirectories. 3. Customize the sysprep.xml file manually and set the keyboard, locales, and so on, to the respective language. 4. Deploy the .xml file manually, or by using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or Custom Sysprep. All preferences for keyboard, locale, time zone, countries, and so on, are applied. Resolving memory issues To troubleshoot Out of memory error in Dell Wyse Windows Embedded thin clients, use one of the following tools to identify and adjust your memory requirements: ● Windows Task Manager ● Unified Write Filter ● File Explorer NOTE: The name of the error dialog box helps you to identify the source of the memory issue. Using Windows Task Manager 1. Log in as an administrator. 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. 3. Click Task Manager. The Task Manager window is displayed. 4. Click More details. 5. Click the Performance tab, and analyze your system memory resources. 6. Close the programs that are using more memory. Using Unified Write Filter 1. Log in as an administrator. 2. Double-click the UWF icon in the system tray. 3. Configure the Amount of RAM to be used for FBWF cache (MB) option. CADMAP tool interfering with published application shortcut keys The Winlockworkstation.exe add-on must be pushed using Wyse Management Suite or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. This feature enables you to use WIN+L key combination in remote sessions. You can enable or disable the WIN+L key combination in local sessions using WinLock Workstation application. You can also use /WE or /WD parameters to enable or disable the WIN+L key combination. Troubleshooting 61
