If you are adding the DRAC/MC version 1.1 module to a system to enable redundancy, the firmware levels of both DRAC/MC modules must be version 1.1. If the DRAC/MC module currently in the system is version 1.0, you must upgrade the firmware of the current module to version 1.1 prior to installing the new DRAC/MC version 1.1 module. If you are replacing a failed DRAC/MC version 1.0 module in a non-redundant system and your environment requires that you retain the version 1.0 functionality, ensure that you adjust the firmware level on the new DRAC/MC version 1.1 module to that of the failed DRAC/MC module. NOTE: A DRAC/MC module's firmware version is displayed on its web-based GUI or by typing command getsysinfo or racadm getsysinfo. For instructions on how to change the firmware levels, as well as how to install and set up the DRAC/MC module in either a non-redundant or a redundant configuration, see the Dell Remote Access Controller/Modular Chassis Version 1.1 User's Guide at support.dell.com.
