System Memory Information Update - 8 GB Memory Modules Your system now supports quad-ranked 8 GB memory modules, allowing higher total memory capacities. Due to limitations of the processor memory controller, the system memory will run at 533 MHz, rather than 667 MHz. Configuration Guidelines for Quad-Ranked 8 GB Memory Modules Quad-ranked 8 GB memory modules should not be combined with other sizes of memory modules. If quad-ranked 8 GB modules are combined with other sizes, all memory modules will run at 533 MHz, rather than 667 MHz. 8 GB Memory Modules
Your system now supports quad-ranked 8 GB memory modules, allowing higher
total memory capacities.
Due to limitations of the processor memory controller, the system memory will
run at 533 MHz, rather than 667 MHz.
Configuration Guidelines for Quad-Ranked 8 GB Memory Modules
Quad-ranked 8 GB memory modules should not be combined with other sizes of
memory modules.
If quad-ranked 8 GB modules are combined with other sizes, all memory
modules will run at 533 MHz, rather than 667 MHz. A message notifying you
that a non-optimal configuration is installed will be displayed at system startup.
