The supported external expansion enclosure is the Dell PowerVault MD1200 direct-attached storage array. Requirements for adding an enclosure include: * Meeting the minimum system drive capacity; the DR Series system must be 600 GB or larger (the 300 GB DR Series systems do not support the addition of external expansion enclosures). * Meeting the internal drive slot capacity listed above. * Installing the appropriate expansion shelf license. • DR4100 system internal drive capacity - Supports an internal drive capacity up to 3 TB in the DR4100 system (with up to 2 TB capacity in the DR4000 system). - 3 TB internal drive capacity results in available physical capacity (decimal) of 26.79 TB and available physical capacity (binary) of 23.8 TiB for the DR4100 system. • Supported system limits for DR4000/DR4100 systems - Maximum files: 32 million (1 TB drives or smaller) or 64 million (2 TB drives or greater) - Maximum containers: 32 - Maximum replications per container: 32 - Maximum CIFS connections: 32 - Maximum NFS connections: 32 7
