The DR Series system requires that each external enclosure added be equal to or greater than each DR Series system internal drive slot 0-11 capacity. The supported external expansion enclosure for the DR Series system is the Dell PowerVault MD1200 direct-attached storage array. Requirements for adding expansion enclosures: 1) you meet the internal drive slot capacity requirement, and 2) install the required expansion shelf license.
