Instant CLI, What is New in this Release

Page 32 highlights

Instant CLI The Instant Command Line Interface (CLI) is a text-based interface accessible through a Secure Shell (SSH) session. SSH access requires that you configure an IP address and a default gateway on the W-IAP and connect the WIAP to your network. This is typically performed when the Instant network on a W-IAP is set up. What is New in this Release The following feature was introduced in Instant 6.4.3.1-4.2.0.0: Table 5: New Features Feature Description Mesh Configuration support Mesh W-IAP configuration is now supported on W-IAP2xx series access points. on 802.11ac access points Using RADIUS and TACACS Server for Controlling Management User Access You can now use the attributes returned from a RADIUS or TACACS authentication to determine the access level of the user. Dell service tag for Dell WIAPs The Instant UI now displays the Dell Service Tag for Dell W-IAPs. NOTE: This feature is not supported for some earlier W-IAP models, including WIAP92/93, W-IAP104/105, W-IAP114/115,W-IAP134/135, W-IAP155/155P, WIAP175P/175AC, and W-IAP3WN/3WNP. DNS IP configuration for Virtual Controller You can now configure a DNS IP address for a Virtual Controller. Accounting server configuration for wired network profiles You can now configure accounting servers for a wired network profile. Transmission beamforming In the current release, the W-IAP2xx access points support transmission beamforming to allow effective concentration of its signal at a client location and improve signal, SNR, and throughput. The transmission beamforming is enabled by default. To disable this feature, use the no vht-txbf-explicit-enable command. For more information, see the wlan ssidprofile command in Dell Networking W-Series Instant 6.4.3.x-4.2 CLI Reference Guide. Enable or disable 3G/4G USB You can now enable or disable 3G/4G USB modems based on the uplink configuration preferences. TSPEC and SVP enabled SSIDs You can now configure an SSID to prioritize voice traffic with Traffic Specification (TSPEC) and Spectralink Voice Protocol (SVP) enabled. Enhancement to VLAN derivation rule operator A new operator Is the VLAN is introduced for configuring the VLAN derivation rules. When configured, the users are assigned the VLAN value returned by the attribute in the VLAN derivation rule. 32 | About Instant Dell Networking W-Series Instant 6.4.3.1-4.2.0.0 | User Guide
