NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer. NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the main battery before you begin working inside the computer. NOTICE: The center control cover is fragile and can be damaged if extreme force is used. Be careful when removing the center control cover. 1. Follow the instructions in "Before Working Inside Your Computer." 2. Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface. 3. Using a small flat end screwdriver, insert the screwdriver on the right side to gently pry the center control cover loose. 4. Gently remove the center control cover by pulling it up from right to left. 1 center control cover Replacing the Center Control Cover Gently snap the cover back in place starting from left to right. Removing the Center Control Cover
1.
Follow the instructions in "
Before Working Inside Your Computer
."
2.
Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface.
3.
Using a small flat end screwdriver, insert the screwdriver on the right side to gently pry the center control cover loose.
4.
Gently remove the center control cover by pulling it up from right to left.
Replacing the Center Control Cover
Gently snap the cover back in place starting from left to right.
