NEW MODEL I N F O R M A T I O N 5-Disc CD Auto Changer DCM-380/280 High Performance CD Auto Changer with MP3 and HDCD Decoders. The DCM-380, a 5-disc carousel (sp.) CD changer equipped with HDCD and MP3 decoders, lets you not only enjoy regular audio CDs, but also HDCDs and MP3 encoded CD-R/RW discs. The DCM-380 and DCM-280 feature DENON's 5-disc changer mechanism for smooth, quiet operation. ® DCM-280 s HDCD Decoder (DCM-380) HDCD represents encoding/decoding technology that drastically reduces digital recording distortion while retaining compatibility with the existing CD format. s CD-R/RW Playback s MP3 Decoder The DCM-380/280 play finalized CD-R/RW discs containing MP3 audio files. When they are in MP3 format, a single CD-R/RW disc can contain upto 10 times more tracks than an ordinary audio CD. CD-R/RW discs containing a large number of MP3 files are ideal for use in long-play applications such as background music. s Advanced Multilevel Noise Shaping DAC The DCM-380/280 features a Multilevel Noise Shaping DAC. This multi-level modulation powerfully removes the adverse effects of jitter, and because it is built into the output amp, a clean analog output with suppressed high-frequency interference can be directly obtained. s 8-Times Oversampling Digital Filter Increasing the oversampling frequency by a factor of eight makes possible an extraordinary degree of attenuation and reduces frequency irregularities in the audio range to an absolute minimum. s Remote Control IN/OUT (DCM-380) When the DCM-380 is cable connected to an amplifier or receiver that supports the Remote Control IN/OUT feature, you can operate the DCM-380 via the remote sensor on the amplifier or receiver. This feature is very handy when the DCM-380 is placed in another room. s Synchronized Recording Function s Full Selection of Program Playback The DCM-380/280 lets you combine up to 32 tracks from the five or fewer CDs which are loaded. s 3-Mode Random Playback Full Random / Program Random /Disc Sequential Random s Intelligent Disc Scan The Disc Skip button can rotate the carousel tray clockwise or counter-clockwise when searching for a disc. (Counter-clockwise rotation is operable only by remote controller.) s 20-Selection Music Calendar Display s Coaxial Digital Output s Headphone Jack Specification s Audio Section DCM-380 DCM-280 Frequency response ......... 2 Hz - 20 kHz 2 Hz - 20 kHz Dynamic range 100 dB 98 dB Signal-to-noise ratio .......... 112 dB 108 dB Total harmonic distortion .. 0.0025% 0.0030% Channel separation........... 98 dB 96 dB Line out level (Variable) .... 0.2 - 2.0 V rms 0.2 - 2.0 V rms Digital Output Coaxial Coaxial s General (DCM-380/280) Power supply AC 120 V, 60 Hz Power consumption .......... 15 W Dimensions 434 (W)x 115 (H) x 392 (D) mm 17.1" (W) x 4.5" (H) x 15.4" (D) Weight 5.7 kg, 12.6 lbs * Design and specifications are subject to change without notice.
