X-SPACE SURROUND is technology that uses those speakers to generate surround algorithms. The sound waves released from the speakers irradiate throughout the room, so that listeners hear the sound from the front left and right, the center, and the rear left and right. If you are listening to a news program or documentary, you might choose NEWS mode to make the spoken words easier to hear. If you are listening to music, you might switch to MUSIC mode as it is better suited for music programs.
