Operating the Connected Devices by Remote Control Unit Registering Preset Codes DENON and other makes of components can be operated by setting the preset memory. n Cautions during operation When registering a preset code, point the remote control transmitter toward the AVR-590. The status of the registration operation is displayed on the AVR-590. 1 Press the source select button (see below) for the device to be registered and simultaneously for over 2 seconds. "RC SETUP START" appears on the display and the remote control unit is set to the preset code registration mode. : TV : DVD player or CD player : Blu-ray disc player : Digital video recorder : Video deck : Satellite or cable receiver TV 2 Press ~ and input the 3-digit number of the brand of the component to be preset. The numbers are shown in the Preset Code Table (vEnd of this manual). When registration is completed, "RC SETUP OK" appears on the display. b If the codes could not be registered, "RC SETUP NG" appears on the display. Try again.
