Playing Compact Discs

Page 13 highlights

PLAYING COMPACT DISCS IMPORTANT: This CD player can play normal CDs plus CD Recordable (CD-R) and CD Rewriteable (CD-RW) discs. However the playability of CD-R/RW discs may be affected by the type of software that was used in 'ripping'the tracks from the original discs and 'burning'the tracks onto the blank media. Playability may also be affected by the quality and condition of the blank media you use for recording. 100% compatibility cannot be guaranteed. This is not an indication of any problems with your player. 1.) Slide the function CD/FM AUTO/AM selector switch on the right side cabinet to the CD position. 2.) Press the POWER ON/OFF button on the top panel. The display will briefly show "Cd" and then two dashes " - - " in the track number display. After a few seconds the display will return to the correct time. 3.) Lift the CD door and place a CD on the center spindle with the printed label side facing up. Gently press downward on the disc near the center hole until it is properly 'seated'on the spindle. Close the CD door. 4.) The disc will spin for a few seconds as the player reads the disc. Then the disc will stop and the display will show the total number of tracks on the disc. After 5 seconds the display returns to the correct time. 12 CKD3630_060404.p65 12 4/6/2004, 15:19
