STEREO indicator does not light. AM or FM, no sound. Possible Cause Station not tuned properly for AM or FM. FM: Telescopic antenna is not properly adjusted. AM: Unit is not positioned correctly. Station is not broadcasting in stereo. AM or FM ST. is not selected. Compact Disc Player CD Player will not play. Volume at minimum. CD is not selected. CD skips while playing. CD is not installed or installed upside-down. Disc is dirty or scratched. General No sound. AC cord not connected properly. Batteries are weak, dead or not inserted properly. Solution Retune the AM or FM broadcast station. Reorient FM telescopic antenna. Rotate unit until best reception is obtained. Change stations. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the AM or FM ST. position. Increase volume. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the CD position. Insert CD with label side up. Wipe disc with cloth or use another disc. Connect AC cord securely. Replace batteries and/or insert properly. 12
