7.1. Sensor control summary The BT-2000 is equipped with an IMU (high precision, high stability inertia measurement unit), a geomagnetic sensor, and an ALS (ambient light sensor). Tap detection and azimuth detection are also available. 7.1.1. IMU and the geomagnetic sensor The BT-2000 is equipped with an IMU and a geomagnetic sensor. The IMU can detect tri-axis acceleration and tri-axis angular velocity. The IMU allows high precision stance detection. There is also a built-in tri-axis geomagnetic sensor which combined with the IMU allows for azimuth calculations. +Y +X +Z The following shows the specifications for the IMU and the geomagnetic sensor. Sampling rate* Range IMU Acceleration Max. 125 Hz ±5.8 G Angular velocity Max. 125 Hz ±450 deg/s Geomagnetic sensor Max. 100 Hz ±1200 μT * When the load on the system is high, the sampling rate may not reach the specified maximum.
