Epson Ensemble HD 6500 - Home Cinema System Manual

Page 1 highlights

Updates to Setup Instructions Projector Model and Enclosure The Ensemble HD system now ships with the PowerLite® Home Cinema 6100 or 6500 UB projector. These newer models replace the ones mentioned in the Installation Guide. Their menu settings are almost the same as on the projectors they replace; if you're in doubt about a particular setting, consult the manual that came with the projector. Also note that the enclosure has been updated to fit these newer projectors. Instead of having separate bottom and rear covers, the enclosure now has a single one-piece cover for easier installation and removal. Be sure to position the center of the enclosure at least 20 inches from the rear wall, instead of 15 inches as shown in the Installation Guide (see the diagram on page 32). The optional plastic cleats shown on page 38 are no longer included. In-Wall Versus On-Wall Installation See the appropriate section below, depending on the type of Ensemble HD system you've ordered. In-Wall Version If you plan to route any cables through the wall and ceiling, make sure you've ordered the in-wall version of Ensemble HD. This version lets you route all the AV cables (but not the power cables) through your wall and ceiling. Two reduced-length power cables are provided to let you plug the projector and screen into nearby outlets. These power cables are located in Box 1. Note: The in-wall system does not include the wire management tracks and connector pieces mentioned in the Installation Guide. These parts are used only for on-wall installations. Warning: The two long power cables labeled AC CABLE 2 and AC CABLE 3 should not be used for in-wall installations and must not be routed through the wall or ceiling. They are not rated for that purpose. Mis-installation could result in fire or other safety hazards. On-Wall Version If you'll be mounting wire management tracks on your wall and ceiling, make sure you've ordered the on-wall version of Ensemble HD. This version includes an additional box labeled "On-Wall Wire Channel Kit," which includes the wire management tracks. Note that the tracks are not packaged with the screen, as indicated in the Installation Guide.
