Introduction The Epson® Equity® 386/33 PLUS is a high-performance personal computer which offers exceptional speed and convenience in a compact design. Your 33 MHz, 80386DX system includes 4MB of internal memory, a built-in VGA (video graphics array) display adapter, built-in parallel and serial interfaces, and an IBM® PS/2™ compatible mouse port. With these interfaces, you can connect most of your peripheral devices directly to the computer, without installing option cards. The Equity 386/33 PLUS also has four option slots (three 16-bit and one 8-bit) in which you can install additional devices, such as a modem or a network card. It can support up to three internal drives: either two diskette drives and one hard disk drive, or one diskette drive and two hard disk drives. The alternate VGA feature connector provides an interface to connect an optional high-resolution graphics adapter card. This allows you to use the special graphics features on the adapter card while accessing the standard VGA signals provided by your main system board. Your system offers 128KB of shadow RAM to speed up processing by moving the ROM BIOS and video ROM into the RAM area of memory. Additionally, the 64KB of cache memory lets the computer copy portions of memory into a high-speed cache buffer so it can access programs and data very quickly.
