DIP Switches The FX printers have two sets of internal switches which are used by the printer to determine the default mode on power-up. The switches are under the upper right vent. As outlined in Chapter 1, the vent screw must be removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver in order to take the cover off. Since switch settings are only checked by the printer on power-up, all switch setting should be done with the power off. The printer will not recognize changes made in switch settings when the power is on until the printer is turned off and then on again.
