printer, the customer will be invoiced at the then current manufacturer's suggested retail price for the replacement printer. It is your responsibility to unpack, re-install optional parts (trays, and/or cabinet, etc.), and setup the exchange printer at your location. The replacement printer or part may be new or refurbished to the Epson standard of quality, and, at Epson's option, may be another model of like kind and quality. Exchange products and parts assume the remaining warranty period of your original product covered by this limited warranty. What This Warranty Does Not Cover: This warranty covers only normal use in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Excessive, continuous use is not considered normal use; damage, maintenance or service from such use will not be covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover: 1. Ink replacement 2. Maintenance tank replacement 3. Printer software usability training 4. Firmware updates 5. Any damage arising from your failure to do routine maintenance Note: Refer to the maintenance requirements and troubleshooting in the User's Guide. 6. Print quality issues or damage due to use of third party inks 7. Control panel functionality training 8. Functions and adjustments that can be performed via the Printer Settings menu 9. Any damage caused by third-party software, applications, parts, components or peripheral devices added to the product after its shipment from Epson (for example, dealer or user-added modifications, components, or cables) 10. Any damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, neglect, improper packing or shipping, disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, improper electrical currents, software problems, or interaction with non-Epson products 11. Any damage from service performed by other than an Epson Authorized Servicer 12. Service when the printer is used outside the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico 13. Service where the printer label, logo, rating media, or serial number has been removed 14. Any damage to used, refurbished, or reconditioned products 15. Any color change or fading of printed media or reimbursement of materials or services required for reprinting 16. Any damage caused by using improper packaging materials or improper packaging and shipping 17. Any damage caused by installing the printer next to a heat source or directly in the path of an air vent or air conditioner This warranty is not transferable. If a claimed defect cannot be identified or reproduced in service, you will be held responsible for costs incurred.
