Grounding connector [SIGNAL GND], AUTO POWER SAVE switch

English A POWER button Press to turn the unit on or off. The power indicator is around the button. The indicator lights blue when the unit is on. After turning the unit on, the indicator will blink blue and no sound will be output for a few seconds. Wait until the indicator stops blinking and stays lit. oo When the protection circuit is active, the power indicator blinks blue or alternately blue and red and no sound is output (page 13). oo Since this unit has a high-capacity power transformer and capacitor, the power transformer might make noise for a short time after the unit is turned on. This is not a malfunction. oo After turning the unit off, wait at least two seconds before turning it on again. A XLR input connectors Use balanced XLR cables to connect the output connectors of the preamplifier to these connectors. To use these inputs, set the INPUT SELECTOR switch on the rear of the unit to XLR. oo Insert the balanced XLR plugs until the levers lock. Press the levers when disconnecting. oo The XLR input connectors are 2 "HOT". Use compatible cables. oo Insert the plugs completely. Do not bundle these cables together with power cords or speaker cables. Doing so could degrade the sound quality or cause noise. B RCA input connectors Use RCA cables to connect the output connectors of the preamplifier to these connectors. To use these inputs, set the INPUT SELECTOR switch on the rear of the unit to RCA. oo Insert the plugs completely. Do not bundle these cables together with power cords or speaker cables. Doing so could degrade the sound quality or cause noise. C LED brightness adjustment knob Turn to adjust the brightness of the power indicator. D AUTO POWER SAVE switch Use to turn the automatic power saving function on and off. When the automatic power saving function is on, if there is no audio input (continuous silence) from the selected input source for about 30 minutes, the unit will turn off automatically. oo The statuses of unselected inputs have no effect on the oper- ation of the automatic power saving function. E INPUT SELECTOR switch Use to switch between RCA and XLR inputs. VV Do not change this when the unit is on. Doing so could cause a loud noise that might harm your hearing or damage the unit or the connected speakers. F Grounding connector [SIGNAL GND] Using commercially-available sheathed wire (for example, PVCinsulated) to create grounded connections with the speakers, the preamplifier or other equipment might improve the sound quality. oo This is NOT an electrical safety ground. G Holes for power cord support bracket screws Use to attach the power cord support bracket (page 7). H Power inlet [~ IN] Connect the included power cord to this inlet. After completing all other connections, plug the power plug into a power outlet. oo Disconnect the power plug from the outlet if you will not use the unit for a long time. XLR input connectors
Use balanced XLR cables to connect the output connectors of
the preamplifier to these connectors.
To use these inputs, set the INPUT SELECTOR switch on the rear
of the unit to XLR.

Insert the balanced XLR plugs until the levers lock. Press the
levers when disconnecting.
o
The XLR input connectors are 2 “HOT”. Use compatible cables.
o
Insert the plugs completely. Do not bundle these cables
together with power cords or speaker cables.
Doing so could degrade the sound quality or cause noise.

RCA input connectors
Use RCA cables to connect the output connectors of the pream-
plifier to these connectors.
To use these inputs, set the INPUT SELECTOR switch on the rear
of the unit to RCA.
o
Insert the plugs completely. Do not bundle these cables
together with power cords or speaker cables.
Doing so could degrade the sound quality or cause noise.

LED brightness adjustment knob
Turn to adjust the brightness of the power indicator.

AUTO POWER SAVE switch
Use to turn the automatic power saving function on and off.
When the automatic power saving function is on, if there is no
audio input (continuous silence) from the selected input source
for about 30 minutes, the unit will turn off automatically.
o
The statuses of unselected inputs have no effect on the oper-
ation of the automatic power saving function.
