How to Identify Parts of Vacuum Cleaner Air path selector knob Handle Hose Turbo nozzle Filter and screen (located inside dust cup) Crevice tool Dust cup Exhaust/HEPA filter compartment (located behind dust cup) Height adjustment knob Brush roll cover Power switch Handle release Upper cord retainer Upper hose retainer Dusting brush Carry handle and cord wrap Lower cord retainer (on carry handle) Power cord Quick release cord wrap Lower hose retainer Base hose Maintenance Schedule Maintenance Schedule is also located on back side of dust cup. ! READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS VACUUM CLEANER. Moving parts! Power switch is marked I for on-OFF. DUST CUP - Empty after each use Filter DCF21 Press lever to release bottom lid. Debris will empty. Close bottom lid until it clicks. FILTER DCF21 - Replace or clean regularly with filter brush to maintain suction Empty cup. Pull back For quick clean: tap filter. To clean thoroughly: grasp latch to lift off lid. filter and twist to remove from lid. Brush off debris. Screen Exhaust filter EF6 ( HEPA filter on some models) Remove screen. Rinse Align tab with slot to Reinstall filter. Align lid screen, filter and reinstall screen. at front; press down until dust cup. Dry thoroughly. lid snaps into place. EXHAUST FILTER EF6 - Replace within 6 months Brush Roll Belt EXT-U Remove dust cup. Press down tab and Lift out filter and replace. Reinstall remove filter cover. cover and snap into place.
