Since 1946 Front Panel A. INSTRUMENT - Plug your instrument in here. B. VOLUME - Adjusts the volume level of the Instrument channel. C. AUTOMATIC FEEDBACK ELIMINATION (AFE) - A feedback suppression algorithm that can be used to target and suppress feedback frequencies automatically. AFE can be used in two modes, basic and advanced. Automatic Feedback Elimination (Basic Mode): 1. Press the AFE button and a "notch filter" will be activated which will reduce feedback in the most common frequency ranges. The LED will illuminate red while the AFE circuit is active. 2. Press the AFE button again to disable basic mode. Advanced AFE mode is more sophisticated and can be trained to target and eliminate specific troublesome feedback frequencies. Automatic Feedback Elimination (Advanced Mode): 1. Start with the AFE circuit off. 2. Press and HOLD the AFE button for one second (until the AFE LED turns green) to initiate the AFE training period. 3. The AFE training period lasts for 4 seconds. Allow your guitar or microphone to feed back during this period. Typically, you do not need to play your guitar (or sing) during the training period, but if you can induce the frequency that is giving you particular trouble, your results may be improved! Wear hearing protection. 4. When the LED turns red, AFE training is complete. At this point you can repeat steps 1-3 to retrain the feedback frequencies for AFE advanced mode, if desired. 5. You can now turn the AFE advanced mode on-off by pressing the AFE button. The amplifier will remember your trained frequencies until you turn the amplifier off. D.
