PICKUP ADJUSTMENT The height of the pickup is adjusted by turning the four outboard screws (two on each side) clockwise to raise, and counterclockwise to lower. For optimum performance the pickup covers should be 1/16" below the first and fourth strings when they are played on the last fret. Individual string volume can be adjusted by turning the magnetic pole screws which are directly under each string. If a string sounds weak in relation to the other strings, raise the screw by turning it counter-clockwise. If a string sounds too loud, lower the screw by turning it clockwise.
