Linting Problem

Trouble Shooting Linting Problem Is the lint bucket full? When lint reaches the top of the transparent section of the bucket it needs emptying. Have you separated lint shedding garments (eg towels) from lint receiving garments (eg synthetics). Have you checked your pockets for tissues or other items that could have been left in them? Have you over-loaded your dryer? Over-loading can result in linting problems due to reduced airflow and lint not being able to collect on the filter. Have you over-dried your load? Over-drying can cause lint-attracting static electricity. Try a lower dryness setting or use AUTO-SENSING instead of TIME DRY. Is the lint bucket in place? Static problems Have your clothes been over-dried? Reduce the dryness setting. Have you used fabric softener? Place fabric softener sheets in the dryer. Items shrinking Has the load been over-dried? Choose a lower dryness setting. Is tumble drying recommended? Check care labels inside garments. If you selected TIME DRY - did you set it to dry for too long? Has the correct temperature been used to dry the garment? Check the care label. Loads are wrinkled Does the load sit higher than the lint bucket? Your dryer is over-loaded, decrease the load size. Did you remove your clothes as soon as the dryer was finished? Use the WRINKLE FREE option, if you cannot return to the dryer in time. Have your clothes been over-dried? Select a lower dryness level. Check your garments care labels. Drum door will not open Refer to page 44 - Power Failure for more information, or contact your Fisher & Paykel Authorized Service Agent. Lid will not open Is the WRINKLE FREE button selected? Press START/PAUSE to open the lid. Dryer has stopped during the cycle with the white WRINKLE FREE light illuminated and the LCD screen blank. Your dryer may be experiencing a low voltage supply. Without enough electricity it cannot function. Once the line voltage returns to normal the dryer will recommence the interrupted cycle. If the problem persists call for service. 51

Is the

to open the lid.
