Universal Serial Bus Ports The Universal Serial Bus 2.0 ports (USB) allow you to connect USB devices such as external game pads, pointing devices, keyboards and/or speakers. There are five USB 2.0 ports on your notebook: one on the right side and four on the rear. In order to connect a USB device, align the connector with the port opening, then push the connector into the port until it is seated. DUE TO THE ONGOING CHANGES IN USB TECHNOLOGY AND STANDARDS, NOT ALL USB DEVICES AND/OR DRIVERS ARE GUARANTEED TO WORK. USB Ports Figure 32. Connecting a USB Device to System (rear and right side) Headphone/Line-Out Jack The headphone/line-out jack allows you to connect headphones or powered external speakers to your notebook. Your headphones or speakers must be equipped with a 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo mini-plug.
