Before you call for service... Problem Foods defrosting Freezer temperature too cold Moisture forms on outside of cabinet Interior light does not work (on some models) Door/lid won't fully close by itself Slow starting time after being off Excessive frost buildup Possible Causes Temperature control in OFF position. Freezer is unplugged. The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped. Door/lid left open. Too frequent or too long door/lid openings. Temperature control set too cold. Fast Freeze switch is in the ON position or has run for too long (on some models). Not unusual during periods of high humidity. No power at outlet. Freezer is unplugged. Light bulb burned out. Package holding door/lid open. What To Do • Move the control to a temperature setting. • Push the plug completely into the outlet. • Replace fuse or reset the breaker. • Check to see if package is holding door/lid open. • See $ERXWWKHRSHUDWLRQRI\RXUIUHH]HU • See $ERXWWKHRSHUDWLRQRI\RXUIUHH]HU • Wipe surface dry. • Replace fuse or reset the breaker. • Push the plug completely into the outlet. • Replace bulb.
