Griddle (on some models) Care and Cleaning Stainless Steel Range Thoroughly clean the griddle of grease and food particles, using a square-edged spatula, while it is still hot. Wipe the griddle with a dry, heavy, coarse cloth to remove any remaining residue and food particles. If desired, wash with hot soapy water, rinse and dry. Once the griddle has cooled, rub the surface lightly with vegetable oil. Do not use corn oil or cooking sprays as they get sticky. If the griddle is cleaned with anything other than a dry, heavy, coarse cloth, it will need to be reseasoned. Never flood the hot griddle with cold water. This could cause the griddle to crack or warp. 35

Griddle

Thoroughly clean the griddle of grease and
food particles, using a square-edged spatula,
while it is still hot.
Wipe the griddle with a dry, heavy, coarse cloth
to remove any remaining residue and food
particles.
If desired, wash with hot soapy water, rinse
and dry.
Once the griddle has cooled, rub the surface
lightly with vegetable oil. Do not use corn oil
or cooking sprays as they get sticky.
If the griddle is cleaned with anything other
than a dry, heavy, coarse cloth, it will need to
be reseasoned.
Never flood the hot griddle with cold water.
This could cause the griddle to crack or warp.
