4-6 Installing the Hard Drive Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the hard drive: •• Take note of the drive tray orientation before sliding it out. •• The tray will not fit back into the bay if inserted incorrectly. •• Make sure that the hard drive is connected to the hard drive connector on the backplane. Follow these instructions to install the hard drive: 1. Press the release button and pull the locking lever to remove the hard drive tray. 2. Installing the Hard Drive
Follow these instructions to install the hard drive:
1. Press the release button and pull the locking lever to remove the hard drive tray.
2. Pull apart the hard drive tray and slide hard disk into the tray.
3.
Slide the hard drive tray and push firmly into to the chassis.
Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the hard drive:
•
Take note of the drive tray orientation before sliding it out.
•
The tray will not fit back into the bay if inserted incorrectly.
•
Make sure that the hard drive is connected to the hard drive connector on the backplane.
