This section outlines your basic Sprint service features. Voicemail Setting Up Your Voicemail ᮣ For instructions on how to set up your voicemail, see "Setting Up Your Voicemail" on page 4. New Voicemail Message Alerts When you receive a new voice message, your device alerts you that you have voicemail by displaying an icon in the title bar and a pop-up message. To call your voicemail: ᮣ New voicemail messages are indicated on the Notifications screen. Tap the notification to call your voicemail. (See "Notifications Screen" on page 19 for more information on the Notifications screen.) - or - Press the Talk key to display the Phone screen, and then touch and hold on the Phone keypad. Retrieving Your Voicemail Messages You can listen to voice messages directly from your device or from any other touch-tone phone. Note When you are roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network, you may not receive notification of new voicemail messages. It is recommended that you periodically check your voicemail by dialing 1 + area code + your wireless phone number. When your voicemail answers, touch and enter your passcode. You will be charged roaming rates when accessing voicemail while roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network. Your device accepts messages even when it is turned off. However, you are notified of new messages only when your device is turned on and you are in a Sprint service area.
