This

appliance

The

plug

will

only

fit

into

an

electrical

outlet

made

for

a

-prong

plug.

This

is

a

safety

feature.

If

plug

should

fail

to

fit,

contact

an

electrician

to

replace

the

obsolete

outlet.

Do

not

attempt

to

defeat

the

safety

purpose

of

the

grounding

pin,

part

of

To

avoid

circuit

overload

do

not

use

a

high

wattage

appliance

same

circuit

with

the

coffeemaker.

A

short

cord

is

provided

to

reduce

A

extension

cord

used

electrical

rating

of

the

extension

cord

is

greater

Use

an

extension

cord

rated

amperes

greater.

Care

must

be

taken

to

arrange

the

extension

cord

so

that

it

will

not

drape

over

the

countertop

or

tabletop

where

it

can

pulled

on

by

children

or

tripped

TO

MAKE

COFFEE

1.

Plug

in

coffeemaker.

2.

Before

first

use,

wash

carafe,

then

run

one

full

carafe

of

clean

water

through

a

complete

cycle

by

following

steps

through

8.

To

make

coffee,

open

filter

basket.

Place

disposable

paper

or

permanent

filter

in

removable

filter

holder.

4.

For

each

cup

of

coffee

being

made,

place

up

to

one

level

measuring

tablespoon

of

ground

coffee

into

filter.

Close

filter

basket

firmly.

NOTE:

If

using

a

prepackaged

coffee

pack,

place

in

middle

of

removable

filter

holder

and

close

filter

basket

firmly.

5.

Fill

carafe

with

the

desired

amount

of

cold

water.

Flip

open

reservoir

cover

and

pour

water

into

reservoir.

Flip

reservoir

cover

down

to

close.

6.

Place

carafe

with

carafe

lid

attached

onto

Keep

-Hot

Plate.

7.

Turn

on.

8.

When

finished

turn

off

and

unplug.

AUTOMATIC

SHUTOFF

The

coffeemaker

will

automatically

shut

off

one

hour

after

it

is

turned

on.

Always

turn

coffeemaker

OFF

and

unplug

when

finished.

CLEANING

THE

INSIDE

OF

THE

COFFEEMAKER:

To

prolong

the

life

of

your

coffeemaker,

periodic

cleaning

is

recommended.

In

areas

with

hard

water,

more

frequent

cleaning

is

necessary.

1.

Place

empty

carafe

on

Keep

-Hot

Plate.

Firmly

close

filter

basket.

2.

Pour

one

pint

of

plain

white

vinegar

into

the

reservoir.
