DESIGN PHILOSOPHY Ludwig Mies van der Rohe borrowed "less is more" from the poet Robert Browning, implementing that aesthetic in his building designs. We borrowed it from Mies. While minimalism has become a major force in architecture, music and design, it has also been one of our guiding principles from the very beginning. At Harman Kardon, we believe that good design consists of essential elements presented in their purest form, with an absence of excess or embellishment. We could go on and on about this, but that would be icing on the cake. We don't do icing. 04
