SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE UNIVERSAL H-SERIES HEATER FOR YOUR SWIMMING POOL FOR YOUR SPA OR HOT TUB 1. Determine your pool's surface area in square feet: A B R L AREA = (A+B) x L x .45 AREA = R x R x 3.14 L W AREA = L x W 2. Select the model that corresponds with a surface area that is equal to, or just greater than, your pool's surface area. For indoor pool installations, divide the pool's surface area by 3.
