• HP StorageWorks XP series • HP StorageWorks MSA 1000 and MSA 1500 with firmware version 7.0 or later. Prerequisites Multiple-path support In a multipath environment, a Windows system with EVA storage requires the installation of multipathing software on each host system to achieve high-availability, multipath capability. For more information about multipath options, see the HP multipath website: http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/multipathoptions/index.html Single-path support Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 32-bit and 64-bit servers require a single Fibre Channel adapter (FCA) to support single-path mode. NOTE: Do not use single-path mode in mission-critical environments. VCS 3.028 to VCS 4.100 migration The Active/Active failover feature in VCS 4.00x impacts host configurations. Contact your HP service representative to configure your system and perform the migration procedure. IMPORTANT: In order for your system to recognize the EVA3000/5000 A/A storage array with VCS 4.100, you must run Smart Component sacd.exe to install the required driver. You can download the executable file from the HP web site: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescri ption.jsp?lang=en&cc=US&swItem=co-37579-2&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=321347 After you download the Smart Component, execute sacd.exe, and then follow the steps in the HP setup wizard.
