For the HP Comware-Based Switches, the following fiber diameters are recommended:  G.652 common single-mode fiber: 9/125 μm  G.655 single-mode fiber: 9/125 μm  Common multimode fiber: 62.5/125 μm  G.651 multimode fiber: 50/125 μm (for multimode VCSEL laser) Connector CAUTION: Cover the connector with a dust cap when it is not connected to any optical fiber. Connectors connect transceiver modules to the corresponding transmission media.
