Help Problem My keyboard doesn't work, even though the computer and monitor seem to work. Solution 3 If the PC beeps repeatedly or if nothing happens when you press keys, it's possible that the keyboard is connected improperly. PS/2 keyboards only: Check that the cable connector pins are straight. Make sure the keyboard is connected to the keyboard port, not to the mouse port. If you need to reconnect these two cables, turn the computer off, reconnect the cables, and then turn the computer back on. 3 Try restarting the computer (click Start, select Turn Off Computer, and click Restart). If that doesn't work, press and hold the computer On button until the computer turns off (approximately five seconds). Then turn the computer back on. The AOL program 3 If AOL opens when you are using another Internet Service Provider (ISP), the PC is still comes up even though trying to use AOL for Internet access and you may want to remove the AOL program. I'm not using it. To uninstall AOL: 1 Click Start on the taskbar. 2 Click Control Panel. 3 Double-click Add or Remove Programs. 4 Select America Online, click Change/Remove, and then click Yes when the confirmation window opens. Note: Removing the AOL program will not cancel your account with AOL. Quick Start Guide 73
