READ ME FIRST Before Removing or Replacing PCI/PCI-X Cards The hot-plug capability for removing and replacing PCI/PCI-X cards is not yet enabled on your hp 9000 rp4440 server. If you wish to add, remove, or replace a PCI/PCI-X card, read the complete instructions in your Operation and Maintenance Guide on the enclosed Documentation CD before attempting this procedure. HP-UX Update Patches Hewlett Packard PA-8800 based servers and workstations require the December 2003 (or later) release of the following bundles and individual patches: HP-UX 11i (11.11) OE bundles • HWEnable11i patch bundle • Updated driver bundles • OnlineDiags bundle Additional Individual Patches • PHCO_29327 11.11 cumulative SAM patch -Fix SAM operation with OLAR and Attention Buttons (Doorbells). • PHCO_29944 11.11 hotplugd(1M) daemon for doorbell enablement -OLAR and Attention Buttons (Doorbells) support for rp4440 server. • PHNE_29947: 11.11 IETHER 1000Base-SX/T cumul. patch -Fixes GigEthernet LAN swinstall from server on different subnet. • PHKL_30100 11.11 Psets, vPar, Xserver, T600 HPMC, KRNG, early LPMC -Corrects LPMC and interrupt handling during early boot process. • PHSS_30101 Support Tool Manager Dec 2003 -Correct the handling of noncritical LPMC errors and other events. • PHKL_30105 11.11 remove mem module and LPMC syslog msgs -Remove noncritical messages from dmesg buffer and syslog. v2 Printed in the U.S.A.
