Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader. The Autoloader firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP). • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Languages • English (American) • English (International) Enhancements • Support added for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). • Support added for the 1/8 G2 and MSL Encryption Kit, which is a solution for generating and storing encryption keys to write and restore encrypted data on LTO-4 media with LTO-4 tape drives. • Support added for the Ultrium 1760 parallel SCSI half-height tape drive. • Support added for SNMP version 2. • Ability to save and restore the Autoloader configuration settings to a USB flash drive (from the OCP) or a file (from the RMI). Fixes • Fixed a case where the Autoloader could appear unresponsive when used with network security programs that constantly check the security status of all network ports. Usually Drive Communication (code: F1 xx) errors were the last entries in the autoloader logs. • Fixed a case where the Autoloader could appear unresponsive after the operator issued a command from the OCP to remove a magazine but the magazine was not removed. • Fixed a case where the time stamp in the autoloader logs would be recorded as one day earlier than the Autoloader time. • Fixed a case where error retry Code 88 00 (setting of sled motor parameters failed) was incorrectly logged during the power up sequence. • Fixed a case where error code 9B (sled position sensor not found) was reported at ambient temperatures below 10 C when the mailslot did not pop out more than 15 mm. • Fixed a case where the Autoloader would report Not Ready after running the Demo Test. • Improved an error message in the Wellness test when a corner slot is empty. • The Autoloader temperature is now reported on LOG SENSE page 0x0D. • Fixed a case where the Autoloader could not detect when the mailslot was closed very quickly.
