HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator Installation Instructions for HP BladeSystem c3000 and c3000 Tower Enclosure Introduction There are two optional Onboard Administrator modules available with the enclosure: • HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module, part number 488099-B21 • HP c3000 Dual Onboard Administrator module, part number 488100-B21 To use the Onboard Administrator modules, you must have HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator version 2.30 or greater installed. For more information on using the Onboard Administrator software, see the HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator User Guide. You can install the optional HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module in the enclosure without a second module. Before you install an HP c3000 Dual Onboard Administrator in the enclosure, you must have installed the c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module. NOTE: The HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure is shown in the illustrations throughout this document. The HP BladeSystem c3000 Tower Enclosure is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from what is shown in the illustrations. HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module components Item Name Description 4 Active Onboard An LED that Administrator LED indicates which Onboard Administrator is active 5 Health LED Green = OK Red = Critical error 6 USB A USB 2.0 Type A connector that connects supported USB devices 7 Reset button - HP c3000 Dual Onboard Administrator module components Upgrading an HP Onboard Administrator module to an HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module 1. Disconnect all cables from the HP Onboard Administrator module. 2. Remove the HP Onboard Administrator module. 3. for HP BladeSystem c3000 and c3000 Tower Enclosure
Introduction
There are two optional Onboard Administrator modules available
with the enclosure:
HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator module, part number
488099-B21
HP c3000 Dual Onboard Administrator module, part number
488100-B21
To use the Onboard Administrator modules, you must have HP
BladeSystem Onboard Administrator version 2.30 or greater
installed. For more information on using the Onboard Administrator
software, see the
HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator User
Guide.
You can install the optional HP c3000 DDR2 Onboard Administrator
module in the enclosure without a second module.
Before you install an HP c3000 Dual Onboard Administrator in the
enclosure, you must have installed the c3000 DDR2 Onboard
Administrator module.
NOTE:
The HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure is shown
in the illustrations throughout this document. The HP
BladeSystem c3000 Tower Enclosure is rotated 90
degrees clockwise from what is shown in the
illustrations.
