• For automatically initiated calls to different numbers: The equipment shall be on-hook for a period of not less than 5 seconds between the end of one attempt and the beginning of the next attempt. • For automatically answered incoming calls: Incoming calls shall be answered between 3 and 30 seconds of the first ring. For correct operation of the ringers in each device, the total of the RNs (ringer number) of all devices connected to a single line at any time should not exceed 5. The RN can be found printed on the Telepermit Label.
