As a service, HP can install Windows 2000 on new PCs using customer provided Windows 2000 image via the HP PC Customization Services (PCCS) process. Customers may experience some success with running Windows NT on the dc7700 but there will be limitations. Windows NT was retired by Microsoft from the PC OEM channel on 30 June 2002 with all maintenance support dropped on 30 June 2003. Most hardware technology introduced after 30 June 2003 is not supported by Microsoft or Intel. They will no longer provide the required software updates to make this operating system function.
