NOTE: HP StorageWorks Command View EVA 4.1 is required to access the features in VCS 3.028. Information on HP Command View EVA 4.1 is available on the following web site: http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/cmdvieweva/index.html Added features • Improved system performance when creating snapshots by providing the ability to transition cache of selected virtual disks to write-through mode. This reduces the impact of snapshot and snapclone startup on host I/O performance. • Availability enhancements • New disk drive firmware. See Table 3 Operating system support enhancements Support for the following operating systems has been added since the release of VCS 3.025: • Windows 2003 with SP1 • Windows 2003 Extended Systems (X64) • Linux Red Hat Advanced Server 4.0 • VMware ESX/GSX/WSX 2.5.1 • OpenVMS 8.2 (IA64 & Alpha servers) • IBM AIX 5.3 • Sun Solaris 10 For a complete list of supported operating systems, refer to the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 3000/5000 QuickSpecs.
