2. Key in the fraction numerator and press again. The second separates the numerator from the denominator. 3. Key in the denominator, then press or a function key to terminate digit entry. The number or result is formatted according to the current display format. The a b/c symbol under the key is a reminder that the key is used twice for fraction entry. For example, to enter the fractional number 12 3/8, press these keys: Keys: Display: Description: 12 3 8 +_ Enters the integer part of the number. The key is interpreted in the normal manner. Enters the numerator of the fraction (the number is still displayed in decimal form). The calculator interprets the second as a fraction and separates the numerator from denominator. Appends the denominator of the fraction. Terminates digit entry; displays the number in the current display format. If the number you enter has no integer part (for example, 3/8), just start the number without an integer: Keys: Display: Description: 3 8 +_ ) Enters no integer part. (3 8 also works.)
