NOTE HP PCI FDDI/9000 Release Notes for HP-UX 11.0 What's in this Version What's in this Version The following describes the HP PCI FDDI/9000 products for the V-class servers and the B, C and J-Class workstations. The HP PCI FDDI adapter complies with FCC regulatory standards. See the "Safety Considerations" section of the document included with the product for the complete FCC Regulatory Compliance statement. The adapter is compliant with PCI Local Bus Specification 2.1. Benefits HP PCI FDDI/9000 is a high-performance FDDI networking solution for HP V-Class servers and the B, C and J-Class workstations. HP PCI FDDI/9000 provides the physical and data-link services as defined by the ANSI X3T9.5 specifications for FDDI and is supported over the TCP/IP network protocol stack. Features HP PCI FDDI/9000 supports ANSI specifications for high-performance FDDI networking using fiber optic media via a dual-attach connection. The connectors are SC duplex-style keyed connectors. The card supports dual homing, high availability environments using MC/ServiceGuard, MP Scalability, SMT 7.3, DLPI, SAM, and Optical-bypass relay. Up to eight cards are supported per V-Class system.
