If you replace the module and then receive a warning message, remove the module to restore device functionality, and then contact technical support. Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 25). 2. Remove the top cover with keyboard (see Top cover with keyboard on page 25). 3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 33). Remove the WLAN module: 1. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.9 screw (1) that secures the WLAN module to the system board. (The WLAN module tilts up.) 2. Remove the WLAN bracket (2). 3. Disconnect the two WLAN antenna cables (3) from the terminals on the WLAN module. 4. Release the shielding (4) that secures the WLAN module to the slot. WLAN module 35
