2 Procedures Shutting down the press before a long period Follow the below steps to shut down the press before a long period: 1. Change the press status to Ready. 2. Print the following jobs: ● CATP.jlt ● Gray_20%.jlt ● Banding2.jlt ● FOCUS.jlt ● 4 PIX.jlt 3. Check the quality of the prints. Keep the prints with the press. 4. Run the Print Cleaner wizard. 5. Change the press status to Standby. 6. It is recommended to disconnect the cooling pipes from the press. 7. Remove the substrate roll from unwinder and rewinder, but leave the substrate threaded through the engine for later use. 8. Run the Dry BIDs wizard. 9. Disconnect the cooling pipes from the ink pumps. 10. Drain all of the inks into closed containers. 11. Remove the ink cartridges from the press. They can be used on another operational press. 12. Using a lint-free wipe and IPA, clean the ink cabinet. 13. Use OFIR to clean all of the ink systems (and all of the colors). During the OFIR cleaning cycle, manually clean the ink pumps and tanks. NOTE: For more information about OFIR, see CA293-03241 - On-press Fast Ink Replacement (OFIR) User Guide. 14. Remove all of the BIDs. Clean them and store them in their original boxes. They can be used on another operational press. 15. Clean all the engine drums gears. Grease and oil the gears. 16. Clean the balancing roller, which is inside the charge roller assembly. Shutting down the press before a long period
Follow the below steps to shut down the press before a long period:
1.
Change the press status to Ready.
2.
Print the following jobs:
CATP.jlt
Gray_20%.jlt
Banding2.jlt
FOCUS.jlt
4 PIX.jlt

Check the quality of the prints. Keep the prints with the press.

Run the
Print Cleaner
wizard.
5.
Change the press status to Standby.
6.
It is recommended to disconnect the cooling pipes from the press.
7.
Remove the substrate roll from unwinder and rewinder, but leave the substrate threaded through
the engine for later use.
8.
Run the
Dry BIDs
wizard.
9.
Disconnect the cooling pipes from the ink pumps.
10.

11.
Remove the ink cartridges from the press. They can be used on another operational press.
12.
