HP Integrity rx2620 & rx4640 Server Errata Required Patches for HP-UX 11i v2 June 2006 and September 2006 OE Releases Introduction This document identifies HP-UX patches that are required for HP Integrity rx2620 and rx4640 servers with the HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23 version) OE Update from the June 2006 or September 2006 releases. The following sections provide details on required networking patches for both releases, plus a required kernel patch for the June 2006 release only. Please execute the swlist command on your server, and check the revision of the HWEnable11i bundle. The June 2006 bundle will list the B.11.23.0606.046a revision, and the September 2006 bundle will list the B.11.23.0609.053 revision for the HWEnable11i patch bundle. HP recommends the September 2006 OE Update release with the latest HP-UX support and defect fixes for the HP Integrity servers with the new Intel® Itanium2® dual-core processors. Required Networking Patches HP-UX 11i v2 June or September OE Releases Potential System Panic on HP Integrity Servers HP networking tests have discovered a system panic issue on HP Integrity rx2620 and rx4640 servers running HP-UX 11i v2 June or September 2006 OE release. Affected servers will report the message panic: Bad News! followed by a stack trace that includes the following entry: ttcp_rput+0x22a0 What To Do Install the following patches: PHNE_34671: s700_800 11.23 cumulative ARPA Transport patch PHNE_33732: s700_800 11.23 cumulative STREAMS patch.
