Required Patches for OpenVMS and Other Release Information
Introduction
This document identifies important information that is required for OpenVMS support on the HP Integrity
rx2660 server. Read this document before booting your system.
Required Patches for OpenVMS if you have not purchased OpenVMS
Factory Installed Software
The following patches are needed if OpenVMS has not been factory installed on your HP Integrity rx2660
server. HP
recommends
that you use the latest rev of the listed patch kit. The versions listed below are the
lowest rev that will work with the HP Integrity rx2660 server.
Read the release notes supplied with each patch kit on installation and patch contents.
VMS83I_FIBRE_SCSI-V0300 or later
VMS83I_LAN-V0200 or later
VMS83I_UPDATE-V0100 or later
VMS83I_DRIVER-V0100 or later
VMS83I_RX2660-V0100
or later
VMS83I_SYS-V0100 or later
VMS83I_IPB-V0100 or later

Additional Patches for OpenVMS rx2660 support
In addition to the above patches, if you plan on configuring
the Smart Array 6402 or 6404, refer to
either of the following websites to download the MSA$UTIL kit. The MSA$UTIL kit is
a system
management and diagnostic tool capable of configuring integrated RAID functionality for MSA arrays
and for the HP Smart Array 5302, 5304, 6402, and 6404 adapters.

If you plan on using Systems Insight Manager, refer to the following website to download the
latest Management Agents patch V3.4-2. This patch addresses a few issues and one
specifically related to the rx2660 and PCI-express adapters.
