Issue Description: Printing a document with the PCL6, PLC 5e or PS driver that contains the font Franklin Gothic Book may cause the MFP to display a 49.4c02 error on the HP Easy Select control panel. Solution or Workaround: PCL 5e and PCL6 drivers Enabling the "Send True Type as Bitmaps" setting found on the "Advanced" tab of the PCL5e or PCL 6 driver will allow the document to print without error. (See Figure 1) PS driver Setting the True Type Font Download Option to "Bitmap" will allow the document to print without error. This setting is found on the "Advanced" tab under the "PostScript Options" selection. (See Figure 2) WJA Solution Installing the font on the MFP's hard drive using the Web JetAdmin Plug-in called "Device Storage Manger" will allow the font/document to be printed without setting any of the Bitmap settings mentioned above. Issue Description:
Printing a document with the PCL6, PLC 5e or PS driver that contains the font Franklin
Gothic Book may cause the MFP to display a 49.4c02 error on the HP Easy Select
control panel.
Solution or Workaround:
PCL 5e and PCL6 drivers
Enabling the “Send True Type as Bitmaps” setting found on the “Advanced” tab of the
PCL5e or PCL 6 driver will allow the document to print without error. (See Figure 1)
PS driver
Setting the True Type Font Download Option to “Bitmap” will allow the document to
print without error.
This setting is found on the “Advanced” tab under the “PostScript
Options” selection. (See Figure 2)
WJA Solution
Installing the font on the MFP’s hard drive using the Web JetAdmin Plug-in called
“Device Storage Manger” will allow the font/document to be printed without setting any
of the Bitmap settings mentioned above.
